if a dog killed one of my cats, i would kill the dog in a brutal way. like whatshisface suggested to do to a cat, exept for a bear trap. it will be worth it trust me. the dog has killed one of your cats, was that painless for the cat? no! why should that dumb ass dog get off with it so easy? i would highly suggest you murder the dog in the most painful way you can imagine. the sons of a bitch deserves it. put up a sign that says all dogs will be killed on my property, and warn the neighbors, and if the dogs show up in your yard kill them anyway you want.

Just three grams of Xylitol can kill a 65-pound dog

Hi,I need to painlessly poison my mom's dog,She asked me to help her find a safe way and that lead me here,The vet near our house charges to put dogs to sleep we don't have cash to do that and the dog is 14 years old and he's sick and we just don't want him to be in pain anymore if anyone could help out it would be great,sorry I didn't want to read thru 30+ pages

Last year a some Russians moved to our small town, they have 2 little dogs, those fuckers bark all the time and drive me nuts. They don't give a shit about their "lovely little pets" and let them bark all the time. I work at a oil refinery so I got some Ethylene glycol put it into a bowl and hid it in one of their bushes. The result: one died but the other survived. So I guess the result differs from dog type. Thanks to this thread I will try some others options.

To all those "you sick fuckers" idiots I hope you all get bitten to death by a dog. Dogs are fucking nuisance made by man. I don't like cats either but I still prefer them over dogs since they are quite at night.

If I saw dogs doing that to one of mine, I wouldn't even remember shooting them all to death until the Judge was letting me go due to temporary insanity.

All dogs should have there bark removed from berth and have there bum holes stiched up and have a bag for the owner to empty, if the owner fails to empty the bag then the dog dies.
This was all looked after dogs would live and the poor dogs that are left to shit them selve's are dead.

There's no easy way out of that short of shooting it. I live on AG land in Hawaii, I've put animals and pets down before, but never with poison. Poison is horrible, especially since after you bury it the poison will leach out into your yard and potentially contaminate drinking water, yard where kids play, etc. The best way to do it is to simply man up, realize that one of the consequences and responsibilities of pet ownership also includes dealing with the animals death, acknowledge you are doing this for the animals benefit, and swiftly take its life. Again, preferably by quickly shooting it in it's head, a .22 caliber will more than suffice, a high-powered pellet gun will do the trick too but be careful with cheaper bb guns, they're usually not powerful enough. If absolutely no gun is available, then, well, your imagination becomes your limit buddy.
Also, if you have ranches, or any farms with animals nearby, you could probably ask a farmer to do it for you. They deal with dying animals, they understand that killing an animal is not cut out for everyone, and they would probably do it for free. I doubt, however, that any poison would be painless though.

I understand your angst, I would flip out if my neighbors dog killed my cats. Murder would be in my mind but that is a freaking sick thing to do. It sounds like your only option is to find your cats a better home.

The people who are shouting the odds about "how terrible it is to kill the animal" dont really understand what it is like to live with these animals constantly. I also have a bad problem with the local dogs. There are 20 dogs in a garden next door to me. They bark 24/7, no joke, and I have asked 100's of times for the owners to keep them quite. All the neighbors around have done the same. It is so bad that 2 families have moved, leaving their mortgaged house to live in rented accommodation. We have had the health inspectors, police, and a visit by the local council Governor. Still these dogs bark. Now the owner has taken to tying them up IN MY GARDEN!!! WTF. It is not the dogs fault but the owners, the dogs will have to go. Roll on Antifreeze, rat pellets and nut cocktails tonight. Not taking any chances to try all separately, so come on happy hour.
