If it's not stamped on the intake manifold (was on older engines), pick up a Haynes or Chilton's Service Manual. It will help you out a lot when making do-it-yourself repairs. Available at most auto parts stores.
No kill switch, but check the fuel filter. A vehicle that old has trash/water in the tank and may have clogged the filter when the tank ran dry. If not the filter, see if the fuel pump is still working.
