Even though the specs sound quite good for a high-contrast DLP projector, the actual color wheel speed is 2X instead of a 4X or higher speed color wheel. You will definitely see "rainbows" with any 2X speed color wheel. I would therefore give it a "0" rating.

Stephanie C's response is right on. Often it's the connections that you bring with you that gives you an employment edge. There's no such thing as an "Idol" contest for film workers in this industry.

Please take note that LCOS based projectors, such as the Sony and JVC models may appear less pixelated, but the overall image is somewhat soft. As long as the distance between the audience and screen is at the proper ratio, then the issue of seeing pixels becomes moot.
