yea i just bought a yota the chassis is a 85 but the alternator is a 83? so i think the engine itself is a 83 but i jus bought a battery and a alternator cause they were both bad and i drove it to work... drove fine until i was going home now take this into consideration the parts are brand new...

i have a 1981 toyota pickup with the 22r motor in it, i have recently found out that the bearings and crank are shot but i can't find a motor for less than 1,000 dollars and i cant afford that.. what should i do cause i need a reliable truck that will last but i cant affor 1,000 motor Please HELP!
i think i have a choke problem, but i don't know. my truck will crank when i have the pedal floored. but after a few seconds it dies. i don't know if it is a choke problem or not... PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Sorry, everything from China is suspect for lead contamination. I think they have pretty lax manufacturing standards enforcement. If no one has had any experience, I wouldn't want to put that kind of money into being the first one to get the experience.
