25 inlet cats and a 25

is it ok to have 2.5" inlet cats and a 2.5" inlet muffler for a 3.0 v6 engine? i have a infiniti with a 3.0 v6 and i just was wondering will 2.5" inlet cats and a 2.5" inlet muffler be ok to use?
