480p

I set it up on my tv pretty simple it only came with an HDMI cable and the red white and yellow cables, I plugged both cables into my hd tv and it plays in 480p I tried only plugging the HDMI cable in and it still only plays in 480p. Is there somethin I'm doing wrong?

It won’t let me change to higher 720 or 1080 saying “mode not supported” even though my TV is HD 1080p.(samsung 40") Is it the HDMI cable problem? at least it plays DVD discs..but when I insert a blu-ray disc it says "no signal" .. why is that? and what should I do to watch movies in full HD...

I was told you can't watch the ragular 480p feature of a film located on a BD on a ragular dvd player, they are used for saving to hard drives, watching on mobile devices, etc. OK, so how do you get those files onto your laptop, mobile device, etc?
