What oil to use in Diesel engine 1.3CDTi , Opel Corsa D 2007 - 5w30 or 5w40 ? I got 31.000km or 20.000 miles so far. (The specifications say 5w30 , but still, is 40 better ? ) temperatures here go to -10C (15F) in winter, and +45C (110F) in summer. I will use semi-synthetic.

Should I use 5w30 or 10w30 and why car has 81,000 miles and I use royal purple synthetic. Live in Northern California.
