I was wondering if panniers could be fitted to a specialized allez sport racing bike, which has no fittings - maybe you can get clip on ones?

I am looking for my first bike to ride with friends on long trips. Maybe one or two races. But most likely just around with friends on 10mile trips. I can get the trek for $1300 and the Specialized for $1400. I am not sure which bike to get. I know the trek is more relaxed and is a triple...
