    Do you guys recommend AS3 -Actionscript 3 as a beginner language for a newbie...

    ...like me? I want to become a Flex3/4 Developer and I was told that AS3 is a must learn as Flex is a combination of MXML and AS3. I am 48 and with no programming experience. So far AS3 seems a little hard. All I can do is to repeat the exercises.
