    What its the Autostick CVT transmission in the Jeep Patriot like?

    I hope to get a Jeep Patriot for my first car (opposed to a Ford Focus). I would opt for the CVT Transmission w/ Auto-stick Capability. For those who own or have driven a patriot with this transmission, what do you think? What are some pro's and con's?

    Chrysler 300m Autostick question?

    I have been using the Autostick more and more lately and I am just wondering this...In Autostick mode, if I start in 2nd gear instead of 1st, does it do any harm to anything? I like starting in 2nd because I can accelerate longer in a lower RPM range. But does it do any harm?
