    My PC isn't reading the blank DVD-Rs but it reads the CD-Rs. What do I do?

    I'm trying to burn family videos and this damned thing isn't working. Its reading all the blank DVD-Rs as CD-Rs. How do I fix this problem?

    Do older stereos only play cdrs with wma or wav files?

    I burned a CD-R today of all mp3 files and when I loaded it into the stereo it came up "10 Tracks" and "34:16" for the time, which was correct.     If placed in a cool dark place, how long can I expect them to last before I start getting corrupt data?
