I have a Inspiron 1100 laptop with a Samsung CD/RW-DVD Combo drive (sn324F). Since a week it started to skip playing a DVD every 50 seconds or so. Can I clean the drive and what is the best method, or is the drive bad?

I was given some CD-RW's for Christmas but it clearly says on them " For High Speed Drives only". I have not used RW's previously and there do not work well. How can I tell what is meant by High Speed?
