Does Roger Chillingworth from Scarlet Letter ever achieve redemption? if so, how?
I need details to substantiate that argument. He gives his money to Pearl after he dies, would this be considered as an redemption for Chillingworth?
I am confused on this, Hester got the Scarlet Letter for adultery right? So if Chillingworth is the father why didn't he just say he was the father so Hester wouldn't get the Scarlet letter for adultery? Why did he have to hide he was the father of Pearl and was Hester's husband?
