    My roommate caught crabs. How can I avoid them?

    My roommate caught a nice case of crabs. I dont have them and dont want them either. I know they live on your pubic area, but being that I have a roomie we obviously have to share the same couch and chairs. Is it possible to contract them that way or is the only way through sexual contact?
