Recently noticed a cranking/clicking noise while turning in either direction. The noise gets louder and more frequent at lower speeds and even continues while the car is in park. My uncle checked the CV Joint and didnt see any noticeable damage. What else could make this noise?

I bought a kinetik hc 1800 battery off the internet and i went to change out the battery's and then it wouldn't crank but it is fully charged so does this battery not crank cars? or what do you think is going on?
I have a '97 Elantra manual transmission that will not crank. The battery is 100% and everything works fine. When you turn the key nothing happens -no clicking - nothing. We have replaced the neutral safety switch behind the clutch. Any ideas about what else could cause this problem.
