I read the book, writing my essay. My topic is that rumors can spread, which lead into creating more rumors. I explained that Abigail starts a rumor about others being seen with the devil to get the attention off of her. But my teacher wants me to go deeper into why people are accused. Help?

Are there any quotes in the crucible (the text, not the movie) that refer to Abigail's dark past? (aside from the obvious: "I saw Indians smash my dear parents' heads on the pillow next to mine. And I have seen some reddish work done at night" i need at least two more for my essay.. please help?
