Datacom celebrates $90million investment in data centre infrastructure across Kapua and Orbit.

Datacom has opened its new data centre in Hamilton for business one month ahead of the scheduled completion date.

New Zealand Post has been a shareholder in Datacom since 1990 and until the approval of this one-off transaction has held 35% of Datacom’s ordinary shares.

Located in Hamilton, Kapua is Datacom's newest tier 3+ data centre, built to meet government security requirements.

Datacom has announced plans to build a new tier-3 data centre in Hamilton following the success of its bid to be a preferred supplier of cloud and data centre services to the New Zealand Government.
