I have tried the AVI. format but it plays the video but no sound just nothing but static. The mp4 format also says the file is not supported.

i recently had this installed, im trying to play a video from my ipod on this system, but when i try to play the video the screen goes blank, you can hear the song but you cant see anything. ive tried switching the settings on my ipod but nothing happens, what could this be?
