How do you dispose of used petri dishes? I have no biohazard bags and I'm not about to go out and buy bleach. So do I just throw them in the trash or what? Also I do not have any intention of incinerating them. They reek and the bacteria is growing. Help

I currently live in Ontario, Canada. I have a few VHS (mostly home movies) that I want to pispose of. How should I go about doing this? I would like very much to just throw it in the garbage....but don't think that's very wise for the environment.
