Me and my friend were at a haunted cemetary we live by and while we were there we heard bad noises and this area has a bad history....anyway I took 5 pictures on my phone of the area and in each one thereafter a face.....I was smoking while I took them but......I don't think the smoke made them...

I don't know much about guitars but does gain have much to do with distortion? Because, I just realized that for some reason, my amp doesn't have gain. Will I still be able to get a distorted sound? Or do I have to settle for another amp. Also, would distortion pedals make the same effect?
