    hp pavilion dv6 dvd drive not recognising any dvd's or cd's?

    i have a hp pavilion dv6 notebook running windows 7 64 bit. the dvd/cd drive is recognised and shows up in the explorer but whenever i put a disc in the it spins and makes noise and then does not do anything. i have tried both cd's and DVDs. i have restored the system to before the problem...

    Will an HP dv6 laptop with Windows Vista play blue-ray discs?

    I have not added any movie playing add-on programs or anything like that. My laptop is the same as when it came off of the shelf. Will it play blue ray discs from my lap top?
