I put a good battery in my 1984 gmc sierra and the headlightss work when I turn em on, but there is no power to the dashboard and it won't turn over. Need help.

ok heres the deal. i have a 1995 saturn sl1. lately the car has a mind of its own. when i try to start the car it wont turn over or do nothing at all. i have change the starter maybe a three months ago and i have but a new battery in the car. it seems like when i turn the key to crank it the car...
