end of the world

POLL: Do these "end of the world" predictions ever make you think about your... ...life, thus far? IDK... I don't believe in them, but they DO get me thinking "What if?". It kind of reminds you what's REALLY important... :)

How many "End of the world" predictions were set for the year 2010 but never happened? So far 2 have been set for 2011, one of which is coming up this weekend which I found to be complete bull...But nonetheless, the real question here is how many predictions were set for the year 2010? I figure...

Do these have any form of validity, or is it just another thing to get attention or scare people?

I want a radio that I can use to talk to others in case some type of end of the world thing happens. I'd like one that I can carry and that can use a headset so that I can hold a rifle, run, and talk at the same time. Any recommendations? Oh and price would be great.

There have been several in my lifetime. Is there a site that has all of them listed?
