...buddy to come man the guns on boats? you kill the bastards and 2 mins later there they are sailing up and down the river again

I’m stuck on a level; the boat scene one has to shoot down a helicopter before the boat sinks. I’ve tried everything. Shot rockets and machine gun, from the front of the ship and the bridge, but still it won’t go down...help

The game far cry, the boat scene with the helicopter to shoot down, it’s impossible. I cannot get past this level I’ve tried a thousand times, over mant weeks, I hit it with rockets and it will not crash...help.
