    FFMPEG M4V to AVI (DIVX)?

    hi all. i'm using Linux. entered this command from the terminal: ffmpeg -i inputVideo.m4v -acodec aac -strict experimental -vcodec libx264 Output.avi but what if I want Divx codec? I want it to play with my DVD player. by the way, the input video has 'H.264 / AVC' codec.

    why does ffmpeg stop encoding with some movies from avi to dvd?

    while converting video from avi to dvd it errors during the audio conversion. i am using dvdflick and i also tried winff though i have a feeling it's not the software. certain movies like repoman
