fieldrunners

I just bought the app fieldrunners for my ipod touch and was wondering how to unlock the flamethrower and the atomic bomb?

I see screenshots all over the place of people playing this game. How do you take an actual screen shot of this game? Is it a feature or just people using another camera or something to take the picture? and I'm not dumb. Im not going to put the phone into a force restart.
