    What would cause my 06 Dodge Caravan's engine to whine after being ont he freeway...

    ...for a while? It doesn't really happen on surface streets. I notice the noise after being on the freeway for a while and then I come to town. As I am slowing it is still whining like it wants to run high. The RPMs come down but the engine whines as if it's still running high RPM's.
