Was it good? I heard it was good to be consider a ghibli flim but a little confusing.

Does anybody know what the number on the side of the Studio Ghibli DVDs means? Is it the order in which they were made? I though it was the order but it seems strange that Laputa is number 6 while The Cat Returns is number 2... it looks much newer than Laputa!
