    Do people Commonly Operating a GRMS radio without a license?

    I see there is a fee of $75 for a GRMS radio license. I know they sell these radios at all the box stores by the zillions. Is everyone really getting a license, or is using them without a license very common?

    What is the difference between brands of GRMS radios?

    I see prices from $10 to $100 for a set of two GRMS radios. I see they all operate at the same power so I'm wondering what the difference is, if any. I know some have a charging station which brings the price up a little. Any brand recommendations? I happened to See a Motorola SX600 I liked...
