    How can i tell if my Amp is grounded correctly?

    I ask because my amp keeps going in to power protect mode. The wireing all appears to be correct & no fuses are blown. I have tried different locations fot the ground and all cause amp to go in to power preotect, some instantly some after a few seconds.

    How do you fix it if you're car stereo is not "grounded"?

    My car stereo makes horrible screeching noises when I turn it on. Sometimes it works, but it sounds bad, quiet, and I can even hear the engine noises through the speakers. I've been told I have a bad ground connection...what does that mean and how do I fix it? Is it something I can attempt myself?
