I never realized how awesome sci fi could be until I started reading Heinlein about a year and a half ago. I like his mastery of scientific concepts and his philosophy too. My favorite books by him were probably Have SpaceSuit Will Travel followed by Farmer in the Sky, then Job, Double Star...
