Next year as a PCV driver you will have to have taken 5 classes of instruction each lasting a day and each costing £100 each to continue to drive your chosen vehicle even though you have a current license and are fully qualified to drive that vehicle and may have been doing so for 40 years...

Can I learn to drive in my employers 7.5 tonne truck or do I have to use an HGV

Driving Course? I passed my driving test before 2000 and have entitlement to provisionally drive a goods vehicle up to 7.5 tonne but is it possible to learn to drive with an experienced Goods Vehicle driver on 'L' plates rather than go through one of the HGV driving schools ?
