Well just finished when this series, and I'm confused about is, when Rika finally gets to grow older why does she run into a young Takano? Is this showing how if her parents never died that Takano wouldn't have gone onto this path? But why was an older Rika there? Was she in another world again...

so i think like after the 5th episode or so it starts over a few weeks back before it originally started but is this show showing different stories after each one has ended or what i thought it was showing details in different times like it showed the ending in the beginning but i don't know.

I recently purchased the DVD set for Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai, assuming it was the regular series. To my dismay, I found that it seems to be some sort of epilogue series instead. Does anyone know if I can buy the regular series?
