some text conversations show the names of people recieved were others show their numbers. how do i change it to where it shows the names

How do i put text messege ringtones in to my T-mobile shadow from my computer? I know how to set them for my phone calls.

...says the disk couldnot be read from to? I have an ipod touch and eveytime i try to sync it i get a messege that says the disk couldnot be read from to. Whay would this happen and how do i fix it? I took my ipod to apple and they gave me a new one but i still have the same problem.
