    Where to locate a vin # on a 2008 BMW 528 i N52 engine block?

    I have a 34K miles eng/trans and other parts i picked up. i want to make sure it is clean ! I just need to know what side of the Block and is it in the front or rear i have looked and found # but i cant find any vin # Thanks Tom
