    Would cooking instant rice in a pail on the grill work?

    I love cooking on those little grills in parks, and I love rice, so I was thinking of taking a small metal pail (with a rag tied over the handle so it won't burn my hand) and putting the rice & water in and cooking it like you would over an electric stove. Would that work?
