    What type of dvd burner will work in an old compaq evo 510? Sata or pata or ide?

    computer has standard rom drive with 512ram and 40gb hard can't find the type of interface for the cd/dvd drive anywhere!

    one PATA port, one hard and one DVD Writer ! help?

    Hi, I am planning to buy a new mobo. it is said that it has one PATA port and 6 sata ports. But I have 2 IDE devices. one is a Hard Drive and the other one is a DVD Writer. Can I connect them both in the pata port using Master/Slave IDE cable ? or each one has different cable size ?

    Is there an adapter or converter or a pci card to change a PATA drive to a SATA

    drive? I need to install a new larger SATA internal drive on an older desktop that only has the parallel ports on the board. Does Best Buy carry them?
