We're putting up a scanner antenna and we need to solder 2 UHF connectors to 1/4" coax cable. We soldered the end that goes to the antenna, the other end will be soldered later after the cable comes through the wall.

I'm soldering it onto a large cable, and because of it's location, would make it extremely difficult to rotate the cable to solder all the way around it.
Do you know if the 4 holes are mainly for added strength, so it doesn't get pulled apart from stress or weight, or does they have something...
