I have to do english coursework and write a short, original story.
I'm awful at stuff like this, so I just took an idea from a story I have read once before and used that.
I changed the setting, the characters, and rewrote it all. The only thing that is similar now is the plot.
Is this cheating?
I once posted a poem I wrote on here and not even a day later, a person posted my poem, claiming it as their own. I mean, I'm not a paranoid person as I've posted my name, age and location on here, but aren't you afraid that someone could take your work and claim it as their own?
This is my first time using turnitin.com so I decided I would try the student version, writecheck. I got a whopping 21 percent, excluding quotes even though I swear i didn't copy anything.
