My boyfriend is getting the MyTouch 4G, and he offered my his old T-Mobile phone, from an annual contract. Will it work on a prepaid plan? (from T-Mobile also) I've gotten mixed answers from Google.

I have no credit at all and am wondering if T-Mobile requires its customers to have good credit to get a postpaid phone? Will I still be able to buy a postpaid phone with no credit?
I have a prepaid T-Mobile number right now. Is it possible to keep that number if I change to a postpaid or FlexPay monthly account? If so, how? Can I just take out the SIM card from the prepaid phone to the new phone and pay monthly fees with that?
Thanks.
