...or lynksis adapter? There is a 3rd way connected directly with an ethernet cable but my hd dvr is in a completely different area and running wires around my house seems too complicated

i have a PC that cannot connect to my wireless network. i was wondering if i could use an Ethernet Powerline to access the internet. if that is not possible, what are the alternatives?

I just want to know before i spend $40 on one.

I recently bought Belkin powerline adaptors with a capacity to handle 200mbs but my adaptors are showing a strength of less than 80. What are ways to improve the connection given that I recieve over 80mbs over my cable modem?
