    tevion dvd recorder/vcr wont pick up signal?

    i have just bought a lcd tv with full hd and have connected my tevion dvd/video to it i can can play dvds and videos but cannot get any of the digital channels so i can view them through the video i keep getting no signal found.i have a inbuilt digital receiver in the tv.please help

    Do I have to connect my dvd recorder/vcr to a tv if I just want to transfer vhs...

    ...to dvds? or can i just simply plug in into an electric socket?
