    what is a good speed for cruising on my new yamaha XV250 without over reving

    the engine? This winter my new XV 250 Star Yamaha sits in the garage covered over with 1/2 a mile on it. I got a heck of deal so that's why I bought it at this time. I've never had this style of small cruiser but now that I'm a senior citizen I had to step down in bike size due to arthritis...

    chevy camero '87 was reving high but lost acceleration in drive or overdrive?

    all fine then suddenly noticed no power or acceleration if steped on pedal only 1st or 2nd gears were responding.so limped home on backroads not more than 45 mph. unless punched it then would slip into gear hard after excessive delay. shift-control problem or transmission need replacement...
