I buy shrimp at the local grocery store. Lately, the shrimp has a salty, slippery taste to it. I buy them almost frozen (in the case), bring them home, run tap water over them. Then I steam them in their shells with JUST water. Does anyone know why they have this taste? Thanks!

We just bought sea salt (fine) and my husband put it in the salt shaker. I've used it before a couple years ago but only to cook with. Now I just put it on some food but it doesn't taste salted at all. Is it not supposed to taste as salty as normal table salt?
