My boyfriend's cable modem shows all of its lights but there has been no internet connection for the past few days. He's tried it wirelessly and also by directly plugging it into his laptop. He's tried the 30 second plug-unplug thing, but still nothing. Any suggestions on fixing this? Thanks! :)

Everytime I try to get on the Internet, it doesn't come on. It keeps telling me to check all settings to make sure everything is ok. There's no problem with the modem it works just fine.
