when I press the letters either on the front (number buttons) or the slide-out keypad everything goes fine and normal but when I press any other button ton send/finish the message the screen freezes.... there is no water or screen damage..... what can I do to fix this?

I want to know if I can sync my phone with Songbird. I took off all media but Songbird says it has 6.1mb used of other if i press sync will it delete the phone system files or contact and music? Is it safe?
