bands scream a liitle bit? My dad hates rock music.and he hates screamo. He gets mad at me if they yell a little bit and I got in trouble for listening to linkin park,who to me is not even close to screamo. Please help me?

When i try to do the scream, the begining sounds right but then it feels like the middle of my throwt lets too much air trew and it sounds like im talking without my vocal cords. like try talking without your throwt vibrating... like that. please help!
