When I was a teenager my cousin got a bike from toys r us with shimano gears and brakes. I don't remember how much we paid for them but I remember them costing a little bit. It was a mountain bike and I rode it everywhere and I really loved how I could ride up a steep hill sitting down barely...

All of the road specific pedals I have seen (SPD-SL style) use a different cleat mechanism to the mountain bike pedals...

i am working on a fixed gear/single speed and im looking for a 46-48t. but im not sure about crank sizes. most track cranks are 107mm, and i dont want to by a 107mm crank for my 109.5 bb and have it not work. what can i do?
