I am 14 years old, under 100 pounds, and i am 5'5''. I am a cross country runner and my shins have been acting funny. I don't think they are shin splints. But there are my symptoms:
My shins hurt when I run slow but don't hurt when I run a little faster.

i really like them, and i need some songs for my ipod. so far i only have "so says i" from the shins and "the high road" from broken bells. and other good songs?
kicks would emla cream help? I am into martial arts but my shins have not been built up yet...would emla cream provide significant pain relief to my shins from the physical punishment...if not would you be able to provide any input on what would help that pain?
i play college tennis and i have had pain under my knee at the very top of my shins for about a week and a half now. i thought it could be shin splints because i feel it in both legs (mainly my left though) it feels almost like my bones rather than muscles. any ideas of what it could be? thank you
