I have just started Karate class. In week 3 we will be doing free style sparring. Do you use full force when you are sparring? What if I hit someone and knocked them out? Do I only use conventional karate moves that I have learned from my Sensei?

So i'm only a purple belt, and I've only sparred once, with a very defense guy, and my sensei said he'd like me to spar with a dude I know who is like 16 and is a 3rd degree black belt. I'm not afraid he is gonna hurt me or anything, I just wanna know a little bit about sparring with someone...
